Hi! We are David and Loralyn Biesinger, owners of QUBZ Homes, llc. Recently, we relocated from the east coast to Jameson, Missouri. We love it here like we loved living by the ocean. The world is beautiful. Our goal is to make it affordable, as well.
We have been in the construction business for over 35 years. With moving to the Heartland, we have discovered quickly that people everywhere are looking for better building options for affordable housing. With exuberant costs of living right now, folks everywhere are wondering how they can have something that won't break the bank, but get a home that is functional, classy, and up to date. We have some options we'd like to share with you.
Tiny living is a solution. Though it may not be THE solution for everyone, we have found a way to get you into a home more quickly and economically. We build modular tiny homes here in Jameson, Missouri, then deliver them to wherever you are across the country. You can read the next column to see how the whole process works.
Another solution we offer is traditional stick frame building, which we do here locally. QUBZ Homes are built with superior craftsmanship. Where we've specialized in finish carpentry work in the past, you can count on your home having expert finishing touches.
Another method of building we offer is ICF construction, of which we are certified to build. ICF, or Insulated Concrete Forms are are durable way to build in any climate, especially where storms and strong winds are prevalent. We can help you from the ground up.
Our company is called QUBZ, symbolic of home building and character building alike. Both require an accurate coming together of building blocks to keep a fortress mighty and strong.

Here's how the QUBZ tiny home construction process works:
We build our homes in sections, then bolt or stitch each section together once it is delivered to its permanent location. Most sections are not wider than 10' x 20' so they can transport easily. Even the height of the home is taken into consideration for shipping. For instance, if the height of the home is over 12' tall due to a high ceiling or a loft, the home will be built in vertical sections. For shipping, the top section is shipped separately from the lower level, then attached together after delivery. The same is true with side by side units. In the floor plan picture above, you'll see that three 10 foot sections can easily be combined to make a nice sized, very functional home. Imagine the floor plan being cut into three separate units that are joined back together. Don't want one that big? Then we can leave a section off to make it a smaller footprint. The options are endless.
Before we deliver your QUBZ home to its permanent location, you, with the help of a building contractor, are responsible for putting in footings, or a desired foundation for your home. QUBZ Tiny Homes are completely insulated and come equipped with plumbing, electrical, and sewer hookups to the outside edge of the house. You and your contractor will be responsible for the outside hookups, including sewer or septic, electrical, and water to the home. Your QUBZ home home is completely finished inside and out, with siding, roofing, flooring, and small kitchen appliances suitable to the size of your QUBZ Tiny Home.
QUBZ Modular Tiny Homes are different from pre-fabricated modular homes. QUBZ Homes builds tiny houses to the same high quality and inspection standards as traditional stick framed houses, so they provide durability and strength you can count on. QUBZ builds modular homes with strong, lightweight materials to make the finished homes easier to transport, while still maintaining strength and integrity. Because of the high quality materials and craftsmanship in the work, QUBZ Tiny Homes may also qualify for conventional type loans or funding. They should not require special financing like that of a pre-fabricated home.
Pricing varies on all of our homes because we are custom builders. If you have a design already in mind, we can help you figure out a way to build it ready to deliver. We currently do not offer financing, but can work with most any bank or lender.
